Pregnancy is an exciting time, and it’s also a great time to treat yourself before your new arrival is here! Let’s go over ways to treat yourself while pregnant at Disneyland!

First, if you want to find out what rides are safe during pregnancy at Disneyland, click here! For the California Adventure version, click here!

1. Go for the Upgraded Room

If you’re staying at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, Disneyland Hotel, or Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, treat yourself with an upgraded room! Of course, a guaranteed upgraded view comes at a price, but you could get a little bit of pixie dust at the front desk and get an upgraded room! Paradise Pier Hotel upper floor rooms have views of the full resort area. Disneyland Hotel has rooms that overlook the Downtown Disney District or the pool area. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has rooms overlooking Downtown Disney, Disney California Adventure Park, or the pool areas. Whichever one you choose, it’s a lovely way to spend part of your visit unwinding. Additionally, Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa offer Club level rooms – meaning these rooms have access to a special concierge lounge, offering treats and drinks throughout the day. Each lounge (E-Ticket Lounge at the Disneyland Hotel; Craftsman’s Club at the Grand Californian) have views of the fireworks show, with the music piped in.

2. Spa Time!

Book yourself a spa treatment at the Tenaya Stone Spa at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This location is not open yet, as the old spa closed before Covid shut down the parks. It’s currently under renovation and the status is unknown, but hopefully it is open and available once the Resort reopens!

3. Enjoy a Nice Romantic Meal

Before your little bundle of joy arrives, enjoy a fine dining experience at one of many restaurants at the Disneyland Resort. For dining in Disney California Adventure Park, I recommend Carthay Circle – old-time historic Hollywood setting with fantastic food. For Disneyland, I recommend Blue Bayou for a unique dining experience overlooking Pirates of the Caribbean. For the hotels of the Disneyland Resort, I recommend Napa Rose for award-winning dining at the Grand Californian and Steakhouse 55 for excellent steaks and desserts at the Disneyland Hotel. In Downtown Disney, Naples has the best pizza on property if that’s what your heart desires!

4. Book a Pool Cabana

Pool cabanas are available for rent at the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. They are available to guests of any of the 3 on property hotels, and are available as half day or full day rentals. If lounging by the pool is your style, consider this upgrade to make your day even more relaxing!

5. Book a VIP Tour

Waiting in line, hopping from ride to ride isn’t your thing, but still want to get some rides in? Consider booking a VIP tour! Tailored to your party’s interests, VIP tour guides can get you on (most) rides without waiting in line, help you secure dining reservations and provide access to reserved show seating. Enjoy this upgraded experience and let somebody else do the planning for you!
