The Oasis
Rides
There are no rides in The Oasis section of Animal Kingdom!
Entertainment & Other Attractions
There is only one attraction in The Oasis, and that would be animal exhibits! This section of the park serves as the main thoroughfare to get to the rest of the park, but along the way you can catch a glimpse of anteaters, boars, and a couple of other creatures! There are some shady spots along the way with benches if you need to sit and feed a baby. Most of the pathway is uphill, so it can be a bit of a hike especially if you have a double stroller! If it happens to rain, you may find some cover in a couple of small caves.
Sometimes a very unique Disney character walks around this area – her name is DiVine! Keep a keen eye out, she’s hard to see!
Discovery Island
Rides
There are no rides in Discovery Island!

Discovery Island Trails
There are several walking trails around Discovery Island! They are stroller-friendly, although some of them are both accessible by both stairs and ramp, and the ramp path may not be easy to find, so double check with a Cast Member!
Africa
Rides
Kilimanjaro Safaris
This is one of the headliner attractions at Animal Kingdom and guess what – no height requirements! This attraction does allow lap-sitting and babywearing, and one of the big benefits here is that you can bring your stroller in line if you are doing standby! When you get close to the boarding area, a Cast Member will grab your stroller and park it for you. Just make sure to grab your valuables and anything you will need with you on the ride. If you are using the Lightning Lane, you cannot bring your stroller in line unless it is flagged as a mobility device for those with disabilities. Eating & drinking is not allowed on this attraction as there are live animals throughout this attraction, although I have bottle fed my baby on this attraction without a problem. The ride vehicles are open air jeep-like vehicles with bench seating. There are no seat belts or lap bars. The ride is very bumpy, and personally I don’t feel comfortable taking my kids on it until they have decent head and neck control, and even then I prefer to have them in a structured baby carrier for the duration of the ride. Note that this attraction is one of the longest in duration at Walt Disney World, typically taking about 20 minutes, but it can stretch even longer depending on how the animals are behaving! The ride and queue are both entirely outdoors, although the queue is mostly covered and the ride vehicle has a cover as well. I recommend riding this early on during the day for more active animal encounters! Also, this ride does sometimes operate on different hours than the rest of the park, due to the animals’ schedules – so double check the My Disney Experience app or check with a Cast Member for specific times!
Wildlife Express Train
This is a short train ride to Rafiki’s Planet Watch, where guests can visit a small petting zoo, view animal exhibits, take a drawing class, and chat with some of the animal specialists. You may even get the chance to see some of the veterinary care team in action! Strollers are not allowed on the Wildlife Express Train unless they are flagged for use as a mobility device for those with disabilities. However, complimentary strollers are provided once you arrive at the station! The train station is outdoors but covered, and the entire ride experience is also outdoors and covered. It’s a slow moving traditional train ride, with bench seating – no lap bars or seatbelts. Lap sitting and baby wearing is allowed. It’s a short ride, so it’s probably not the best place to bottle feed or nurse. You can remain on the train for a return trip to Africa, or get off at the station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch to explore! This is another attraction that runs on limited park hours due to the animals’ schedules, so double check the My Disney Experience app or with a Cast Member!
Entertainment & Other Attractions
Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail
Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail is a walk-through attraction where the main star is, you guessed it, gorillas! You can also view other animals such as zebras & hippos! You can take your stroller with you, just know that snacks are not allowed, and it is an open air trail, so if it rains, make sure to have your stroller cover handy! Also, the trail tends to close earlier than the rest of the park, so double check hours with a Cast Member or in the My Disney Experience app.
Rafiki’s Planet Watch
Rides
There are no rides at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, except for the Wildlife Express Train which will take guests back to Africa!
Entertainment & Other Attractions
The Animation Experience at Conservation Station
The Animation Experience is an indoor show where you learn to draw a Disney character! Seating is indoors and air conditioned, so you can babywear or lapsit if you choose. This one is questionable for littles, it depends on how your child handles shows where the audience needs to be a little quiet. If your child is napping or feeding, this is a good spot to do so! However, if they are having a more “active” moment, maybe not the best place for them! My best advice is to play it by ear and see how they’re doing. Also, each student in the class will be given a drawing board, paper, and pencil, so there are a lot of extra props to juggle in addition to your normal baby gear – just something to keep in mind!
The Affection Section
This is an outdoor interactive area at Rafiki’s Planet Watch where guests can pet animals like goats, sheep, etc. Again, this is a situation where you’ll need to play it by ear with your kid. It’s a very active area with a lot of other guests running around most of the time, and the animals of course. It’s not a good place for a new walker, and it’s entirely dirt on the ground (no paved areas except near the hand-washing stations). I recommend baby-wearing, and I don’t recommend attempting to feed or get a nap in over here. There are a few benches in the area so if you have other family members with you and you want to sit and watch, there are some good opportunities to do so!
Conservation Station
This is an indoor, air-conditioned walk through display near the Animation Experience where you can check out some animal exhibits and get a chance to see some of the veterinarian team at work. Since it’s a walk through display, I would baby wear. I would not attempt to get a feeding session in, since you’ll be walking the entire time. There may be a few benches here and there, but for the most part it’s standing & walking.
Asia
Rides
There are no rides in Asia that guests of all heights can experience.
Entertainment & Other Attractions
Maharajah Jungle Trek
This is a walk through animal trail featuring bats, tigers, and exotic birds! Strollers are allowed on the Maharajah Jungle Trek, or you may baby wear. This is a great spot for a nap, although keep in mind that food/drink aren’t allowed on the animal trails. This experience is entirely outdoors with some shady areas and a couple of benches here and there. The Jungle Trek often operates on different hours than the rest of the park, so double check hours on the My Disney Experience app or with a Cast Member!
Feathered Friends in Flight
Feathered Friends in Flight is an outdoor amphitheater show where guests learn about the different types of birds at Animal Kingdom and how the veterinary care team cares for them. Although the theater is outdoors, it is covered and the theater remains relatively cool. Seating is amphitheater style on metal bleachers, so it makes for a good spot for feeding/napping. Strollers must be parked outside unless they are flagged to be used as wheelchairs for those with disabilities. Stroller parking is out in the open, so if it looks like it may rain, make sure to cover it with a rain cover before heading inside. Check show times on the My Disney Experience app or with a Cast Member!
Honorary Mention – KiteTails
KiteTails is a special show created for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, at the lagoon seen from many areas of the park. Seating is outdoors on metal bleachers around the lagoon, and throughout the years there have been a number of both daytime and nighttime entertainment options offered here. Daytime shows are a little tricky with kids because the sun can be so intense, so if you choose to head into a show in this area, make sure to have sun protection ready for your kids.
DinoLand U.S.A.
Rides
TriceraTop Spin
This is a classic spinner ride similar to Dumbo at the Magic Kingdom, although this has 2 rows of seats. Baby wearing and lapsitting is allowed. This ride is too quick for a feeding session. The ride is outdoors, and the queue is outdoors as well, although the queue is covered with fans.
Entertainment & Other Attractions
The Boneyard Playground
This is a playground area featuring slides, a dig site, and more. This is probably better for the toddler set, but younger kids can head inside as well. It’s completely outdoors, but there are some shady areas. There are a few seating areas for parents, so it could probably work for a quick feeding session.
Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!
This is an indoor musical stage show featuring Finding Nemo & friends. Scheduled to open in 2022, we don’t know much about the show itself since it will be brand new! Seating is indoors and air-conditioned. This is a great spot for feeding and napping. Babywearing and lapsitting is allowed. Strollers must be parked outside unless it is flagged as a wheelchair for those with disabilities.
Pandora: The World of Avatar
Rides
Na’vi River Journey
This is a slow moving indoor dark boat ride through the world of Pandora. There are no drops or any scary elements. The queue is outdoors, but covered, unless the extended queue is in use due to high crowds. Lapsitting and babywearing is allowed. This is an okay ride for feeding if it’s a quick nursing/bottle feeding session, as it’s a fairly short ride. This is a pretty good nap ride as well, although the music can get a little loud so your child may wake up. Strollers must be parked outside the queue.
