Breaking News! Disneyland & Disney California Adventure will reopen April 30!
What Will Disneyland be Like When it Reopens?
Firstly, we know that it will be limited to 15% capacity, only open to California residents – however, if Orange County hits the Orange Tier sooner than expected, capacity could be up to 25%. Theme park reservations will be required for guests ages 3+! More details coming on this soon, but expect it to be similar to Walt Disney World’s reservation system.
Indoor dining will be closed, and mobile order will be encouraged at quick service locations. Expect to access menus on your phone at table service restaurants via a QR code.
Masks for guests ages 2+ will be required, with no exceptions. If guests are unable to wear a mask they will be asked to return at another time. Temperature checks will be required for entry, as has been the case with the Downtown Disney District.
Expect enhanced cleaning, sanitation, and physical distancing requirements, as noted on the Disneyland Resort website.
Cashless transactions are recommended, meaning that guests will be relying quite a bit on the official Disneyland app. Don’t forget to download it before you go!
What Will Reopen with the Park?
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will reopen on April 29. The DVC Villas will reopen May 2. No reopening dates have been given for Disneyland Hotel & Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel.
Snow White’s Enchanted Wish will open with the park.
A newly-refurbished Haunted Mansion will also reopen with the park.
Distanced character sightings, photo opps, food, and shopping will be available.
Nighttime entertainment & parades have been suspended for now.
Although Avengers Campus is mostly complete, it will not open when the theme parks reopen.
