The 2022 holiday season has past, but here’s a recap of everything that took place in 2022 at Walt Disney World for the holiday season!
Magic Kingdom Park
- Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party – offered select nights in November and December
- Cinderella Castle Projections
- Decorations
- Special food & drinks
Epcot
- Epcot International Festival of the Holidays – began November 25, along with the cookie stroll
- Candlelight Processional – this tradition continued for another year at Epcot
- Holiday Storytellers – another Epcot tradition was available this year
- New for 2022, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind received a special holiday song! This wasn’t well-received by the public, so I’m curious if it will make a return in 2023!
Hollywood Studios
- Sunset Seasons Greetings – the projections on Tower of Terror were back, along with the “snoap”!
- Hollywood & Vine – Minnie Mouse hosted holiday character dining here in this all you can eat setting
- Santa Claus Motorcade – Santa Claus rolled by on his motorcade throughout the park
- For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration – fan-favorite edition of this singalong returned!
- Decorations
Animal Kingdom
- Merry Menagerie – fan-favorite animal puppets greeted guests near the Tree of Life
- Santa Claus Festive Flotilla – Santa floated by in the riverways
- Tree of Life Awakenings – this special holiday edition came back; let’s hope it returns again!
Disney Springs
- Special entertainment throughout Disney Springs, with snowfall at night
- Christmas Tree Stroll
- Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar transformed its menu & decor to get into the holiday spirit
- Some restaurants had special holiday offerings
Resorts
- Decorations – Christmas trees, gingerbread houses, and more adorned the resorts! The Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian was a hit!
- Holiday snacks & drinks throughout various resorts
