If you’re looking to add a little extra magic to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, consider booking a tour or special experience. There are so many to choose from, let’s get into it! Keep in mind that there used to be many more options, but several of them were suspended with the COVID closures and have not returned. For tours in the park, you must have park admission and a reservation!
Magic Kingdom
Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom Tour – More Info Here!
Love Disney history and want to see the Utilidors? Here’s your chance! This 5 hour tour includes trivia and fun facts about Magic Kingdom. Lunch is included. Guests must be at least 16 years old to participate.
Epcot Tours
Behind the Seeds – More Info Here!
Fans of Living with the Land will love this tour! It’s a one hour tour of the greenhouses and more at Epcot. No age requirements, but make sure you have valid park admission to Epcot. I have done this tour on a number of occasions. While advance reservations are recommended, we’ve been able to do this one on a walk-up basis a few times.
Epcot Seas Adventures – DiveQuest – More Info Here!
If you’re SCUBA-certified and want to experience swimming in the aquarium at Epcot, here’s an experience for you! The entire experience lasts about 3 hours, 40 minutes of which are spent diving. Guests must be at least 10 years old to participate.
Epcot Seas Adventures – Dolphins in Depth – More Info Here!
Want to get up close with dolphins? Consider this experience! The entire experience lasts about 3 hours, with 30 minutes in waist-deep water with the dolphins, where you’ll learn about how the dolphins at Epcot are taken care of. You do not need to swim, nor do you need to be SCUBA-certified. Guests must be at least 13 years old to participate.
Animal Kingdom Tours
Caring for Giants – More Info Here!
Elephant lovers rejoice, this tour is for you! This is a one-hour experience with animal specialists who care for the elephants at Animal Kingdom, and you’ll be able to view the elephants from about 80-100 feet away. Guests must be at least 4 years old to participate, and valid park admission to Animal Kingdom is required.
Up Close with Rhinos – More Info Here!
Rhino lovers, this one’s for you! In this 1 hour experience, learn from animal caretakers about the rhinos at Animal Kingdom, and get an up-close look at them. Guests must be at least 4 years old, and valid park admission to Animal Kingdom is required.
Savor the Savanna – More Info Here!
This tour is for guests ages 8+ and includes a private tour of the savanna, followed by a meal in an overlook area on the savanna! Guests ages 21+ can enjoy beer & wine on this tour. Valid admission and reservation to Animal Kingdom are required.

Get an up-close look at the animals on the Harambe Wildlife Reserve, cross over rope bridges, and enjoy a private safari ride on the reserve. The tour also includes either breakfast or lunch depending on time of day. This is an excellent tour, and the breakfast is fantastic (I have not done it during mid-day, so I cannot comment on that). One of the highlights of my many Disney trips! The tour lasts 3 hours. Guests must be at least 8 years old and 48 inches.

Starlight Safari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – More Info Here!
Ride a private open-air vehicle to discover the animals at Animal Kingdom Lodge! You’ll be given night vision goggles to get a unique perspective on the animals at the resort. Guests must be at least 8 years old to participate. We did this tour in January 2020 and had a blast!
Wilderness Back Trail Adventure at Fort Wilderness Resort – More Info Here!
If you’ve wanted to ride a Segway at Disney, here’s your chance! This is a 2 hour tour of the Fort Wilderness area on a Segway. You’ll also get 30 minuets of practice time, so if you’ve never ridden a Segway before, don’t fret! Guests must be age 16+ and between 100-250 lbs to participate.
