There are so many rides without height requirements at Walt Disney World! Let’s start with a Magic Kingdom Ride Guide, covering what rides are good for babies & toddlers who don’t meet height requirements yet. I’ve also included information on shows & other attractions that are suitable for all ages! For rides that are good for toddlers that hit 38″ in height, check out this post! If you happen to have a toddler who hits that height limit, make sure to check into Rider Switch Service – just ask a Cast Member for help! Rides
Jungle Cruise
Jungle Cruise is a slow boat ride through the rivers of Adventureland! As you travel along the waters, keep an eye out for wild animals and enjoy the funny jokes. This is a great ride for the whole family. I would avoid this if it is raining.
Magic Carpets of Aladdin
This is a classic spinner ride featuring 2 rows of seats per flying carpet. One row controls the tilt of the carpet, while the other controls height. Also a great ride for the whole family! I would avoid this if it is raining.
Pirates of the Caribbean
This is a classic indoor boat ride with one small hill. It can be dark and loud, but my son never had a problem with it and usually slept on this one. This is a great attraction to visit if it’s raining!
Shows & Other Attractions
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
Enjoy this classic audio-animatronic show featuring singing birds and flowers. This is great for the whole family, featuring lively music and plenty of eye candy. This is another great attraction to visit during the rain.
Swiss Family Treehouse
This is a walk-through attraction located near the entry to Adventureland. It features a lot of stairs, but provides awesome, unique views of the Magic Kingdom. Only do this attraction if you are able to carry non-walking kids in your party! I don’t recommend this one if it is raining.
Frontierland
Frontierland does not feature any traditional rides without height requirements – just shows & other attractions! For a quick-reference version of Frontierland attractions without height requirements, a PDF download is available below!
Country Bear Jamboree
Enjoy an audio-animatronic musical show featuring bears and other animals singing and interacting with one another. Fun from start to finish for the whole family. Great attraction to visit while it’s raining!
Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade
This is technically classified as an attraction, but it does cost an additional (low) fee. Shoot at targets in a wild west setting. This is good for older kids who may not yet be tall enough for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Splash Mountain. It’s covered, but small, so if you can manage to get a spot under cover before the other guests, this is a good option during the rain.
Tom Sawyer Island
Let your inner adventurer run wild on Tom Sawyer Island! Board a raft to the island and discover caves, trails, and more. Be prepared to carry your child. This attraction is not ideal for rainy days.
Walt Disney World Railroad
The train station in Frontierland is located near Splash Mountain. Board a steam engine for a grand circle tour around the park! This is great on a rainy day and is a nice, relaxing ride with views of the park.
Liberty Square
Liberty Square is a small land in Magic Kingdom, with a handful of attractions, shops, and dining locations. Keep in mind that there are no restrooms in this land, to keep with the revolutionary-era theming! The closest restrooms will be the Tangled restrooms between Haunted Mansion & “it’s a small world” as well as over near Frontierland.

Rides
Haunted Mansion
This is a slow-moving dark ride featuring sound & lighting effects, and of course, spooks! Older babies/young toddlers might be frightened by this attraction, so consider previewing it on YouTube before riding. This one is definitely good during the rain – even most of the queue is covered!
Liberty Square Riverboat
The riverboat takes guests on a peaceful journey around the Rivers of America, with views of Liberty Square & Frontierland. This is a long ride – about 20 minutes – and has limited seating. If you can manage to find a seat, this can be an awesome spot to nurse or bottle-feed your baby! Be mindful of the elements – if it’s a hot day, the deck of the ship radiates the sunshine and makes it feel even hotter. There is limited cover, so if it’s raining, prepare to get wet.
Shows & Other Attractions
The Hall of Presidents
Enjoy an audio-animatronic presentation featuring all of the country’s presidents! Air conditioned, seats, long show… perfect break for nursing or bottle-feeding your baby. There are a couple of loud noises, although a baby probably wouldn’t be too startled by them. The show is about 20 minutes long, so it’s a great break if the weather is getting to be too much.
Fantasyland
Fantasyland is a great land for attractions without height requirements! For a quick reference guide to Fantasyland rides without height requirements, check out the PDF below!
Rides
Dumbo
This is a classic spinner ride, with a single row of seats that can seat 1, 2, or a small 3. Riders share a single seatbelt. Lap-sitting and babywearing is allowed, just make sure that your child’s limbs are under the seatbelt! Smaller riders may want to sit on a parent’s lap, so they can reach the lever to make Dumbo fly up and down! For reference, my 3 year old cannot reach the lever when sitting on his own. The queue features a playground area so your little ones can play while you wait! The queue itself is mostly covered, although the ride is not.
It’s a Small World
This is a slow moving indoor boat ride, where a single row in the boat can accommodate approximately 4 guests. Lap-sitting and babywearing is allowed, and there is no lap bar or seatbelt on this attraction. The ride itself is entirely indoors, and the queue is mostly indoors. On a busy day, the queue may extend out into the open.
Mad Tea Party
Take a spin on the teacups at the Mad Tea Party! The teacups can sit 3-4, and lap-sitting and babywearing is allowed on this attraction. There are no seatbelts or lapbars. The ride itself is covered, as well as most of the queue. On a busy day, the queue may extend out into the open.
Peter Pan’s Flight
Board a pirate ship and take flight above London on an adventure with Peter Pan. The ride vehicle can accommodate up to 3 or a small 4, with a shared lapbar. Lap-sitting and babywearing is allowed, as long as their legs are under the lapbar. The ride is entirely indoors, and most of the queue is too. On a busy day, the queue may extend out into the open.
Prince Charming Regal Carousel
Pick a noble steed and take a spin on a classic carousel with views of Cinderella Castle & Fantasyland! Standing room is available for adults – adults can share a horse with their child, or can stand next to their child on the horse. The ride is covered, while most of the queue is not covered.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Hop on board a slow-moving vehicle with Pooh & friends to visit the Hundred Acre Wood. The attraction vehicles can hold 2-3 per row, with each vehicle having 2 rows. Each row has a shared lapbar. Lap-sitting and babywearing is allowed as long as their legs are under the lapbar. The ride is indoors, and part of the queue is covered. The queue also has some interactive elements great for toddlers, and adults too!
Under the Sea: Journey of The Little Mermaid
Board a slow-moving clam-mobile and go under the sea! These ride vehicles can accommodate 3 or a small 4, with a shared lapbar. Lap-sitting and babywearing is allowed as long as their legs are under the lapbar. Most of the queue and all of the ride is indoors.
Walt Disney World Railroad
The train station in Fantasyland is located near Goofy’s Barnstormer. Board a steam engine for a grand circle tour around the park! This is great on a rainy day and is a nice, relaxing ride with views of the park.
Shows & Other Attractions
Enchanted Tales with Belle
Visit Belle and all our favorite friends from Beauty & the Beast in this interactive meet & greet! The line for this can get rather long, so I recommend going early if this is important to you. Unfortunately, this attraction has yet to return since Walt Disney World reopened in July 2020.
Mickey’s Philharmagic
Grab your 3D opera glasses and enjoy this air conditioned indoor musical show! The queue and show are entirely indoors. Great for a rainy day!
Meet Princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall
See a few of your favorite princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall in a physically-distanced setting. Have those cameras ready for a selfie! This is located near Prince Charming Regal Carousel, behind Cinderella Castle on the right.
Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland has a few attractions & shows that are great for little ones! For a quick reference guide to Fantasyland rides without height requirements, Download the PDF below!
Rides
Astro Orbiter
Board a rocket high above Tomorrowland on this classic spinner attraction! Each rocket can accommodate 2 or a small 3. Guests sit one in front of another aboard a rocket, sharing a seatbelt. The front rider controls the up/down lever. Seating is tight, and I don’t recommend this one for little babies. This ride experience is entirely outdoors with no cover. There isn’t really room to lapsit, since guests sit one in front of another.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
This slow-moving indoor dark ride is interactive; each car has two guns so you can shoot the targets! There is no lapbar or seatbelt on this ride. These vehicles can seat 2 or a small 3, although it’s probably best to split up if you can so that each guest can have their own gun. The ride is entirely indoors, while the queue can stretch out into the open on a busy day. Lap-sitting and babywearing is allowed.
Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover
The Peoplemover is a classic attraction on an elevated platform throughout Tomorrowland. Catch glimpses of attractions throughout the land, as well as taking a brief detour to see the inside of Space Mountain. Each car has 2 small rows that face each other. Each row can seat 2 or a small 3. There are no lapbars or seatbelts. Lap-sitting and babywearing is allowed. The ride is both indoors & outdoors, although the outdoor portion is completely covered.
Shows and Other Attractions
Monsters Inc., Laugh Floor
Be prepared to laugh along with fellow guests and monsters at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor! This show is great for kids who might be scared of dark theater shows. It has audience participation and is high energy! The show is entirely indoors, while the queue is mostly indoors. The outdoor portion of the queue is covered.
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress
This is a historic attraction in Tomorrowland dating back to the 1964 World’s Fair, and the only attraction in all of Walt Disney World that Walt Disney actually worked on himself! This is a show divided into 4 segments, and the theater rotates to view each segment. Part-ride, part-show! It features typical theater seating, so lap-sitting and babywearing is allowed! The entire experience is indoors, and it is quite a long experience – about 20 minutes – and guests may not leave the theater early.
Main Street, U.S.A.
Main Street, U.S.A. only has 2 traditional rides, neither of which have height requirements! See below for a downloadable PDF ride guide for Main Street, U.S.A.
Rides
Main Street Vehicles
Board a classic turn-of-the-century vehicle to take a scenic trip down Main Street, U.S.A. – just beware that these are not available throughout the entire day. Strollers must be folded. Lap-sitting and babywearing is allowed. The vehicles are all open-air, outdoor experiences.
Walt Disney World Railroad
The train station in Main Street, U.S.A. is located right at the park’s entrance. Board a steam engine for a grand circle tour around the park! This is great on a rainy day and is a nice, relaxing ride with views of the park.

This character sighting is located just past the train station, on the right, as you head into the park. See Mickey in a physically-distanced setting, and have those cameras ready for a selfie!
