FastPass Basics
Disney FastPass is offered at every Disney park around the world (although currently due to Covid-era changes, some programs are temporarily suspended). At its core, it’s a program that allows guests to bypass the standby line for select attractions. Lately, there have been a lot of rumors about the future of the FastPass program at various Disney parks – will FastPass become a “pay to play” offering? Will FastPass remain free? Will Disney hotel guests get some sort of FastPass advantage? Before digging into these rumors, let’s take a look at what FastPass programs are currently offered at Disney parks worldwide!

Thoughts
As we can see, every Disney resort around the world offers some form of paid FastPass service, but every resort also offers a complimentary version as well. There are tons of rumors swirling around the future of the FastPass program at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, and based on trends at other Disney resorts I would not be surprised to see a paid option re-introduced at Disneyland, and introduced for all guests at Walt Disney World. However, I do believe that the paid options will be truly that – options – I don’t think a complimentary offering for everyone is going away anytime soon. What are your thoughts?
