Ready to burn off some churros and corn dogs? Let’s head into Disneyland and get sweatin’! Just as a reminder, obey all Theme Park rules, be mindful of other Guests, and do not run.
Main Street, U.S.A.
The Main Street Train Station is an excellent place to get moving. This train station has several sets of stairs at the exit and entrances. Double check and make sure there isn’t a show going on in front of the train station (these shows happen periodically throughout the day!), and you can do a number of exercises!
- Step-ups: start on the ground floor, step up with right foot, then left foot. Down with right foot, down with left foot. Switch feet!
- Side steps: walk up the steps sideways. Switch feet!
- Power steps: walk up the steps as quickly as you can (do not run!).
Tomorrowland
Between Galactic Grill and Matterhorn you’ll find a series of low benches built into the side of the planter. This is a perfect height to do lunges! Make sure you’re not interrupting any other guests who may be sitting in the area, and select a spot that doesn’t have any water (sometimes if it’s been rainy, the Monorail track above will drip water). Here are a couple exercises that can be done with a bench:
- Bench Dip: Start by sitting on the bench with your hands at either side. Slide your butt off the bench, extending your legs so you are on your heels, with your hands on the bench. Lower yourself slowly by bending your elbows, and slowly push yourself back up.
- Lunges: switch off lunging on each leg! This is a great, deep stretch.
Fantasyland
Ready for some more steps? Head into Sleeping Beauty Castle to climb the stairs. Be polite to other guests who are experiencing this attraction!
Another place in Fantasyland to do some exercises is the old Motor Boat Cruise Dock. The side-step squat can be done back and forth across the dock. Just make sure to watch out for other guests, and don’t forget to switch sides!
Mickey’s Toontown
Time for some fun! Grab a FastPass for Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin. While you’re waiting for your FastPass slot to open, walk laps around Toontown. Then, when you’re on the ride, spin the wheel the entire time! It’s more of a workout than you think!
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
There is a ramp right outside the exit for Smuggler’s Run – it’s shady and often has a nice breeze. Lunge all the way up the ramp, then walk out the back entrance towards Critter Country.
Critter Country
If the Davey Crockett Explorer Canoes are running, you’ll get an awesome arm and ab workout! It operates seasonally, and when it is open, the hours are limited.
Otherwise, head to the pathway behind Harbour Galley, overlooking the final drop for Splash Mountain. Here you’ll find a quiet pathway with a unique view of everyone’s favorite laughin’ place! This is a perfect place to do push-ups against the fence.
New Orleans Square
This requires taking a trip over to Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island. Once you’re on the island, take a lap, and when you find the interactive area, pump the treasure out of the water and have fun walking across the bridge!
Adventureland
Tarzan’s Treehouse has a lot of steps and is a great workout. Take a climb and take in the sights!
Frontierland
One more round of push-ups! Head to the pathway by Westward Ho Trading Company (behind the pin cart) and take a spot on the fence. Then walk through Princess Fantasy Faire to Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The Finish Line
You did it! Take a celebratory photo in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, and grab a seat on a nearby bench to catch your breath.
