Buena Vista Street

Rides

Red Car Trolley

This is a form of transportation that starts on Buena Vista Street near the park entry, with a couple stop en route to its final destination near Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! It’s a slow-moving trolley ride through Buena Vista Street and Hollywood Land, accessible for guests of all ages. Strollers must be folded to board. This is a good ride for lap-sitting as well as babywearing, but probably not the best ride for a feeding session as it is a short ride between stations.

Entertainment & Other Attractions

Five & Dime

Five & Dime is an old-time music group that’s fun to stop and enjoy. They may not perform in inclement weather, but if you catch them, they’re great for the whole family!

Meet Disney Pals

All over Buena Vista Street you can find Mickey, Minnie, and other friends. Check the app or with a Cast Member for specific times!

Hollywood Land

Rides

Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!

This is a slow-moving indoor dark ride featuring the story & characters from Monsters Inc.! Sit in a taxi with row seating and a lapbar, perfect for lap-sitting or babywearing. This is not a great ride for a nap or a feed because it is short.

Entertainment & Other Attractions

Animation Academy

The Animation Academy is both a building and a show. The building has some seating available, but if it’s a hot day the seating will go fast! However, there is a lot of open space for kids to run around, crawl, and stretch their legs. There are also giant screens showcasing movie clips & music from classic Disney films. It can get a little loud, but it’s a great place for a nap or feeding session. Strollers aren’t allowed inside unless being used as a wheelchair.

The Animation Academy show is indoor and air conditioned with plenty of seats for everyone, where guests learn to draw a favorite Disney character! Strollers aren’t allowed inside the building unless being used as a wheelchair. Since this is a drawing class, each guest gets a drawing board, pencil, and piece of paper. This can make it difficult to manage a small child or baby during the class, but it is a good opportunity for feeding or a nap. The class stays fairly quiet as the Cast Member is giving directions, so if your child is upset or crying I would sit this one out.

Disney Junior Dance Party!

Disney Junior Dance Party! is a loud, indoor dance party with limited seating – most seating is just carpeted floor seating. Strollers are not allowed inside unless they are being used as wheelchairs. In this high energy show you’ll see some favorite Disney characters, and dance along to loud music, lights, and more sensory input! This is not a great show for naps or feeding sessions due to how loud and distracting it is.

Disney Visa Cardmember Photo Opportunity

The Disney Visa Cardmember Photo Opportunity is just for Disney Visa Cardholders, and operates on limited hours, so double check the Disneyland App or with a Cast Member. Make sure you have your Disney Visa on hand as well as your photo ID! Here, you’ll get a private meet & greet with a surprise Disney character, and get free PhotoPass downloads of your experience. You can take your stroller back with you. There is usually a short wait, but on holiday weekends or other peak times, you can expect a bit of a longer wait.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic

This is an indoor, air conditioned 3D musical theater show featuring the one and only Donald Duck! Strollers are not allowed inside unless they are being used as a wheelchair. Seating is traditional theater seating with individual seats, making this easy for lap sitting or babywearing. This is a good option for a quick feed or nap, especially if your child is able to sleep through loud noises.

Turtle Talk with Crush

Turtle Talk with Crush is a show that takes places within the Animation Academy. It is indoor and air conditioned, and strollers are not allowed unless being used as a wheelchair. There are some floor seats for little kids who are able to sit on their own (parents can join if they’d like!) and about half the theater has individual seats. The theater is pretty dark and it doesn’t get too loud, making it a great option for a nap or feeding session.

Avengers Campus

Rides

WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure

This is a team-based shooting ride based on Spider-Man. It’s a slow moving ride with screens & 3D glasses. If you’re riding with kids, don’t expect to get a high score! The ride vehicle features one long lap bar across several seats. Although the seats are individual seats, you can lap sit or babywear on this one as long as the child’s limbs are under the lap bar. Due to the interactive nature of the ride, I don’t recommend trying to nurse or bottle feed on this one, although if the child is already asleep they can probably remain sleeping on this attraction!

Entertainment & Other Attractions

Ancient Sanctum

This is an area in Avengers Campus where you can see Dr. Strange and other characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When there aren’t characters here, you can find quiet corners to rest, feed, or just take a break!

Avengers Headquarters

This is a building in Avengers Campus where you can see characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Usually there are a couple characters hanging around here, but if you can find a quiet corner to rest, feed, or take a break, it’s a nice area to hang around.

Spider-Man Stuntronic Show

This is a show that takes place near one of the entries to Avengers Campus, featuring the amazing Spider-Man as he does amazing stunts overhead! This is a standing room only show, but it isn’t a very long performance. If you have a stroller with you, you can keep it with you. There isn’t very much shade, if at all, so be prepared to stand around in the sun for a few minutes. Little kids may have a hard time seeing this show, and it is over fast.

Cars Land

Rides

Unfortunately, all the rides in Cars Land have height requirements. However, all the rides can be seen from nearby walkways, and little ones may enjoy seeing the rides as you walk by!

Entertainment & Other Attractions

Meet the Residents of Radiator Springs

Periodically, you’ll be able to see, Lightning McQueen, Mater, and other residents of Radiator Springs – either driving by or in a dedicated Meet & Greet! Double check the Disneyland app or with a Cast Member for details! Do note that in the case of rain, their meet & greets may be altered or cancelled.

Grizzly Peak

Rides

Unfortunately, all the rides in Grizzly Peak have height requirements. However, there are some great walkways back behind Grizzly River Run where you can see the rafts splash down and maybe get a little wet yourself!

Entertainment & Other Attractions

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail

The Challenge Trail is an interactive play area for the young and young at heart – a place to let out some energy! Some of the attractions here have height requirements, but many things here are available for guests of all heights! Find slides, walking paths, rope bridges, and more! Strollers cannot be taken in this area unless they are red tagged as wheelchairs. There are some quiet corners to sit in, so this is a good place for a nap & feeding session. It’s entirely outdoors, but you can find some cover here and there.

Pacific Wharf

Rides

There are no rides in Pacific Wharf!

Entertainment & Other Attractions

The Bakery Tour

If you or your little one are hungry for a little bite, head on in to the Bakery Tour for a little piece of sourdough bread and a tour of the sourdough bread bakery! It’s a little slice of heaven (literally!) and it’s air conditioned. And, you can bring your stroller inside! There are a few seats with tables, but they tend to go quickly especially on hot days. It can be a nice place for a nap and a feeding session though if you can manage to find a spot to sit! It is also fairly quiet in there.

Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar

This exhibit is not always open, but if it is, it’s an indoor exhibit that often has a short film playing about what Walt Disney Imagineering is up to in the Disney parks. Seating is limited, but this space is indoors and air conditioned. Strollers can’t come inside, though, so if you are able to comfortably transport your child in another way, it’s a good spot for a nap or a feeding session.

Pixar Pier

Rides

Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind

This is an outdoor spinner attraction, with bench seating and a shared seatbelt. You can lap sit or babywear on this one, as long as the child’s limbs are under the seatbelt. This ride is entirely outdoors and there is no shade; in the queue there is limited shade. If it’s a hot day, I’d either sit this one out or wait until later in the day. This is not a good ride for feeding or naps as it is a quick attraction.

Jessie’s Critter Carousel

If you’re a fan of carousels and Toy Story, you’ll want to check out Jessie’s Critter Carousel! This is a great option while other members of your family ride the nearby Incredicoaster. Adults can stand next to the Carousel critters or ride with your child. This is not a great ride for feeding or a nap session, as the ride is over pretty quickly! The whole experience is shaded.

Pixar Pal-A-Round

Pixar Pal-A-Round is a ferris wheel with two options: swinging and non-swinging gondolas. Non-swinging gondolas offer a traditional ferris wheel experience with sweeping views of California Adventure Park. The swinging gondolas are in general a terrifying experience, but especially so if you are afraid of heights or are prone to motion sickness. The swinging gondolas rotate on their own track as the ferris wheel goes about its normal rotation, so the gondola can swing pretty wildly, making for an intense ride.

Both the swinging and non-swinging gondolas have bench seating and there are no lap restraints or seatbelts. Lap sitting and babywearing is allowed. The non-swinging gondolas are good for a nap or feeding session. The swinging gondolas, since they are more intense, would be difficult for a nap or feeding session.

Toy Story Midway Mania!

Toy Story Midway Mania! is an indoor 3D shooter ride. Each row has 2 guns, and there are 2 individual lap bars. A small child could sit in between riders but they will need to be under a lap bar. Lap sitting and babywearing is allowed, but it is a tight squeeze with the gun in front of you. Personally, I’m more comfortable taking my kids on this one when they have good neck control and are able to sit on their own, as this ride tends to whip around corners more than other dark rides. This is not a good ride for a nap or feeding session.

Entertainment & Other Attractions

Games of Pixar Pier

The Games of Pixar Pier are typical boardwalk-style games where you pay extra to play little games to possibly win a prize! Babies and young toddlers will have a hard time participating in these, but they are fun for kids and the young at heart. Parents may need to help shorter children reach the games.

Meet Pixar Pals

Keep your eyes peeled for some of your favorite Pixar friends who may be out for meet & greets! Double check the Disneyland app or with a Cast Member for specific locations & times.

Paradise Gardens Park

Rides

Golden Zephyr

The Golden Zephyr is an outdoor spinner ride. It has bench seating with 2 individual seatbelts and there is absolutely no lap sitting or babywearing allowed on this one. For this reason, I don’t recommend this until your child is able to sit on their own comfortably. This ride also does not have any shade, and the seats can get kind of hot, so I’d avoid it on a hot day. This is not a good ride for napping or a feeding session. If there are any weather conditions like rain or even a slight breeze, it will temporarily close.

The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure

This is an indoor slow-moving dark ride with bench seating and a shared lap bar. It’s great for napping or a quick feeding session! The music can get a little loud, but it’s fun music from The Little Mermaid!

Mariachi Divas

The Mariachi Divas are a Grammy Award-winning mariachi band that travel throughout the land, typically around the restaurants, playing mariachi renditions of Disney songs. If you can catch them, they’re very talented!

Entertainment & Other Attractions

Disney Viva Navidad Street Party

This is a seasonal holiday time offering, kind of like a mini-parade! It is loud, so not a good opportunity for a nap, but the good news is you can keep your kiddo in the stroller for this one! This means you can get a feeding session in while you wait for the show to start! Double check show times in the Disneyland app or with a Cast Member.

Holiday Toy Drummers

This is also a seasonal holiday time offering featuring drummers dressed up like holiday toy soldiers. Definitely try to catch it if you can, but it’s a quick show! You can keep your kiddo in the stroller for this one. They probably won’t be able to nap through it but it’s a good chance for a quick snack.

World of Color

World of Color is California Adventure’s nighttime spectacular performance. If your kiddos are able to stay up late, it’s a very approachable show for little ones because it does not have fireworks involved (with the exception of special shows like New Years Eve or 4th of July). The music can get a little loud, though, so you may want to consider ear protection just in case. There are dining packages and dessert parties that can get you guaranteed seating so you don’t have to wait as long, so double check your options before you go! Some kids may be able to nap through the show, since it is so late at night.
