If you’re spending the day at Downtown Disney with your toddler, here are some activities you can do to find the magic!
- Search for Hidden Mickeys! There are Hidden Mickeys and not-so-Hidden Mickeys throughout Downtown Disney.
- Grab some ice cream! Salt & Straw has unique flavors that can’t be found elsewhere, while Black Tap has over the top, shareable sugary sundaes.
- Visit World of Disney! Not only is it fun to look at the loads of merchandise, but the decor is distinctly Disney and brings extra pixie dust to your visit. Keep in mind, during peak times, Cast Members use a virtual queue system to control entry.
- Make a wish in one of the water features! Our favorite is the orange poppy fountain near La Brea Bakery.
- Visit the Lego Store! If your little one loves building things, this is a fun toy store to check out. Keep in mind, during peak times, they use a virtual queue system to control entry.
- Grab a bite to eat! My favorite picks for little ones are Naples (because who doesn’t love pizza?), Earl of Sandwich (the kids’ options here are great!), and La Brea Bakery (large, shareable portions!).
- Collect pressed pennies! There are a few locations throughout Downtown Disney.
- Grab a churro from California Churro Cart! If we can’t get inside Disneyland, churros are a pretty sweet consolation prize, right?
- Play “Eye Spy”! Look for colors, characters, etc.
- Say “hello” to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure! It is sad that the parks are closed, but it’s a unique opportunity to get a glimpse at an empty theme park. You can get some great pictures, too! Just make sure to keep your mask on.
